State Agency Support
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SC DNR) founded the Dolphinfish Research Program in 2002. At the end of the 2005, state funding for the DRP ran out which led to the formation of a private business to continue the program. Since then, SC DNR has sponsored the acquisition of tags and other materials to help expand participation and research associated with the DRP.
