Marine Canvas Dolphin Tagging Cradle

A product developed to aid in the proper handling of small dolphin, this marine canvas dolphin tagging cradle is a great tool to add to your fishing gear.  With one reinforced closed end, the use of this tagging cradle is similar to that of a dipnet except you will find that your hook will not get tangled and you can subdue the fish more humanely to remove the hook, tag and measure your fish, and then set it free.  This tagging tool was developed by the Dolphinfish Research Program and is made to order for our volunteers.  The tagging cradle comes with the option for (2) 31.5″ pressure treated wooden rods that add rigidity and maneuverability to the cradle while in action.  These rods can be substituted for broomsticks, painter poles, or other similar items to allow for the cradle to extend further beyond the gunwale of your boat.  The cradle measures 12″ deep by 27″ long and is built to handle small dolphin up to 25″ in length.
